Mackenzie graduated with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University. After starting her career as a school counselor, she gained experience working with kids and teens dealing with depression, anxiety, self-esteem challenges, school-related issues, and behavioral concerns. Her passion lies in helping young people develop healthy coping skills and resilience to navigate their personal and academic lives.
In addition to her work with youth, Mackenzie also supports adults managing significant life transitions, such as divorce, grief, career changes, and emotional difficulties like anxiety and depression. She believes in creating a safe and collaborative space where clients can explore their feelings and work toward achieving meaningful change.
Mackenzie uses an integrative therapeutic approach that combines Solution Focused, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to meet each client’s unique needs. She understands that seeking therapy is a courageous step and is committed to helping her clients build a personalized plan that fosters growth and healing.
Camilla graduated with her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Camilla then went on to work as a social worker in various settings including hospitals and insurance, prior to transitioning into private practice.
Camilla has expertise in working with teens & adults struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, conflict, and chronic health issues. She also specializes in working with clients coping with life changes including divorce, school issues, career change, parenting, retirement & aging, and is committed to working together to create a plan that works best for you.
Camilla utilizes a mix of mindfulness, CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and strengths-based methods with clients. She is also trained in implementing Internal Family Systems (IFS) work. She appreciates and understands that therapy can be a difficult step to take; however, Camilla believes that therapy is an important aspect of mental health. Each person is unique with their own story and Camilla takes a collaborative approach to support her clients in reaching their goals.
Jennifer graduated from Oakland University with a Master's Degree in counseling in 1998. Jennifer completed her post graduate work at a women's center and has a focus in women's issues.
Jennifer specializes in working with adults and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, grief & loss, infertility, family/parenting issues and relationship concerns.
Jennifer is warm, caring and empathetic in her approach and has extensive experience in counseling clients going through divorce, grief and loss/bereavement, low self esteem and family dynamic issues. Jennifer brings structure into her sessions and wants her clients to walk away feeling empowered to make positive life changes.
Lori graduated from Oakland University with a Master's Degree in counseling in 2002. Lori then went on to work with Oakland County Youth Assistance as a school based therapist. Lori currently works with kids, teens, adults, couples & families.
Lori enjoys helping her clients feel empowered to improve their self-esteem, manage their emotions, improve their communication abilities, and enhance their problem solving skills. Lori has an open approach, is understanding and solution focused. Her clients are provided with direction and strategies to move forward towards their goals.
Lori has experience working with clients coping with ADHD, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, school challenges, family dynamic setbacks, relationship problems, and trauma/divorce. Lori is caring and warm which helps clients feel comfortable being themselves and opening up.
Joanne graduated from Oakland University with a Master's Degree in counseling in 2005. Joanne specializes in working with adults and families dealing with trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression.
Joanne has experience with women leaving toxic and abusive relationships and runs a codependent recovery group. Joanne believes that true healing comes from feeling our emotions and processing trauma in a safe and supportive environment.
Joanne is a certified health coach and understands the the mind-body connection affects many areas of life. She also loves to incorporate alternative healing modalities such as beathwork, meditation, tapping, and physical trauma release.
Jeana comes to us with a clinical background and years of experience working in the counseling profession. She is excited and ready to assist you in starting your counseling journey.
She will guide you through the beginning steps and connect you with the best therapist to fit your needs. She is happy to answer all questions and address any concerns you might have.
